6th Edition of School “Sanea” Contest Wraps Up its Activities

The 6th edition of school “Sanea” competition wrapped up its activities in Doha.

Organized by the Ibtikar Technology Solutions L.L.C in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the event featured the participation of 32 teams, including a roughly 175 male and female students from 26 schools across the State of Qatar.

During the ceremony of honoring the winners, Director of the Educational Guidance Department at MoEHE Maryam Al Emadi said she is proud to have this elite of talented students who realized the importance of upgrading their skills in innovation and technology, in light of the rapid and enormous evolution in technology and information.

The “Sanea” competition is one of the flagship initiatives that have been designed to propagate the culture of innovation and production in school community through encouraging and stimulating the young generation to acquire new technological skills that contribute to preparing students to keep abreast of information revolution, Al Emadi said.

She added that the competition represents a perfect opportunity to identify talented people and support them in the fields of science and technology, which is an interesting experience that helps them achieve their ambitions, as well as transform their ideas and researches into projects that benefit the community.

The MoEHE essentially supports such initiatives that build students’ innovative capacities, upgrade their skills in presentation, collective work and solving problems, as well as their significance in promoting scientific and research activities, Al Emadi underlined.

For her part, e-learning specialist at the e-learning and digital solutions department at MoEHE Aisha Al Emadi said honoring the winner teams in this contest is a conclusion of a scientific journey made by the talented students through demonstrating their skills and ideas. She thanked and appreciated everyone who has contributed to have a successful competition which aims to provide a supportive environment for students to unlock their potential, in pursuit of achieving the sustainable development in Qatar.

The Founding Partner and the Chief Executive Officer at Ibtikar Technology Solutions Nayef Al Ibrahim said he is proud to see the competition as it continues to provide a conducive environment for the young skills in Qatar and receive the correct guidance through capitalizing on their opportunities to develop their skills in sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Winners of the first three places included: Al Wakra Independent Secondary School for Girls (First place), Amna Bint Wahab Preparatory for Girls School (Second place) and Al Shaima Secondary School (Third place).
