Aomori: A 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Japan today.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported that the epicenter was located off the coast of Aomori Prefecture at a depth of 20 kilometers. So far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage as a result of the earthquake.
The agency has issued a warning for a possible tsunami, cautioning that waves could reach up to one meter in height. Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay alert and follow any safety instructions issued by local authorities.
