Mexico city: A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck southern Mexico shortly after midnight on Friday, according to the Mexican National Seismological Service. The tremor's epicenter was located 317 kilometers south of Chetumal, Quintana Roo, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
