37th GCC Agricultural Cooperation and Food Security Meeting Focuses on Strategic Initiatives

Kuwait city: Ministers and members of the GCC Agricultural Cooperation and Food Security Committee held their 37th ministerial meeting in Kuwait City today. The meeting addressed key issues related to agriculture, livestock, fisheries, and food security among GCC states.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the committee adopted decisions on these issues, reviewed the draft Food Security Strategy, and presented it to the ministers for necessary actions. A project for advisory services to study and assess modern technologies and artificial intelligence in farm management was approved, in collaboration with the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas.

The meeting also discussed the establishment of a GCC bank for plant genetic resources. Additional unified bylaws, laws, and executive regulations were approved during the session.
