35-Minute Grand Mosque Cleaning: Minimal Disruption


Riyadh: In only 35 minutes, sanitation workers at the Grand Mosque meticulously clean the entire area, ensuring pilgrims experience minimal disruption. 3,500 sanitation workers, supported by 12 specialized washing machines and 679 cleaning machines, maintain round-the-clock cleanliness.



According to Saudi Press Agency, daily waste management at the Grand Mosque involves emptying over 3,000 containers and removing 70 tons of waste, which increases to 100 tons during peak times while prioritizing environmental safety.



The authority uses eco-friendly materials for cleaning, aiming to provide a pure worship environment by ensuring pilgrim health, safety, and ease of ritual performance.
