34th Tanzania International Quran Award Enters Final Rounds

Dar es salaam: The final rounds of the 34th Tanzania International Award for the Memorization and Recitation of the Holy Quran began today under the patronage and support of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event, held in Dar es Salaam, has brought together a select group of Quran memorizers from 26 countries and has drawn over 60,000 attendees. Participants are competing in two main categories: senior memorizers aged 15 to 25 who have memorized 30 parts of the Quran, and junior memorizers under 12 who have also completed memorization of all 30 parts.

The competition is recognized as one of the most prominent Quranic events, fostering talent and encouraging young people to engage with the Holy Quran through memorization and recitation. The ministry's sponsorship reflects the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to serve the Holy Quran and support related programs and competitions.
