Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center's (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has introduced 22 projects focused on economic and development matters. In collaboration with 22 government bodies, the NCC invites input from the general public, government entities, and the private sector to provide insights and opinions on these projects before they receive final approval.
According to Saudi Press Agency, among the key projects presented is the 'Draft Amendment to the Implementing Regulation of the National Associations and Establishments Law,' initiated by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector. This project is designed to empower civil society organizations by simplifying their establishment procedures. Feedback is welcomed through the Istitlaa platform until June 30, 2025.
The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization calls for public feedback on the 'Technical Regulation for Autonomous Vehicles,' a new regulatory framework that defines safety requirements for self-driving vehicles and the conformity assessment procedures for suppliers. The public can share their views on this project until June 30, 2025.
Additionally, the Ministry of Education seeks input on the 'Regulatory Framework for Gifted Education Classes and Schools.' This project aims to create an organized structure for managing and operating gifted education programs. Public consultation will remain open until July 1, 2025.
The Saudi Water Authority also requests feedback on the 'Procedural Rules for Monitoring the Quality Standards of Unbottled Drinking Water,' which is intended to establish monitoring requirements and quality standards for unbottled drinking water across the Kingdom. The introduction of these draft regulations and projects via the Istitlaa platform underscores a commitment to transparency within the legislative environment. Istitlaa encourages public participation by allowing citizens, government agencies, and private sector entities to share their insights on proposed regulations affecting the business environment.
