15 days to the end of summer, EMA forecasts until mid-September

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has revealed the weather forecast from Wednesday to Monday.

Hot, humid weather prevails over Greater Cairo, growing very hot on South Sinai and the southern parts of the country during the day, humid at night over Greater Cairo.

At night, temperatures will be moderate on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt.

The weather will be moderately hot and humid during the night hours in southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai.

Summer comes to an end

The EMA announced that this year’s summer season will end on September 21.

A drop in temperatures is expected in the southern governorates of Upper Egypt on Wednesday, reaching 38C.

Satellites showed intermittent wind activity on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

On Wednesday, there are chances of rain in areas of the northern coasts and Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals.

Meteorologists warned of rough waves disrupting navigation in the Mediterranean Sea, with wind speeds of 50km per hour, and waves up to three meters high.
