11 Arab Short Films Compete in Fifth Red Sea International Film Festival


Jeddah: The Red Sea International Film Festival has unveiled the lineup of Arab short films competing in the official competition of its fifth edition, featuring 11 films from Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates. The films will be screened from December 4 to 13, in the heart of historic Jeddah (Al-Balad).



According to Saudi Press Agency, this year’s program presents a selection of works that highlight a group of promising Arab talent, offering narrative visions that reflect the region’s realities and explore its social, cultural, and human dimensions through artistic expression.



Through its Arab shorts program, the festival aims to provide a platform that celebrates emerging voices in Arab cinema and encourages filmmakers to experiment with artistic experiences that address their communities’ issues with visual creativity.



Held in historic Jeddah, the festival reaffirms its role as a bridge connecting Arab filmmakers with the world and its commitment to supporting the region’s creative movement while enhancing the presence of Saudi and Arab cinema on the international stage.
