1 Killed, 33 Injured in Fireworks Factory Explosion in Colombia

A woman was killed and 33 others were injured in an explosion that occurred in a firecrackers and fireworks factory in Bogota, Colombia. Colombian local authorities said that a powerful explosion destroyed a large part of the factory, which was built on the slope of a mountain, and led to the outbreak of a huge fire that caused injuries. Bogota Mayor Carlos Galan said that a column of smoke was still rising from the factory site, while the blast caused the windows of nearby residences to shatter.
