Weather Forecast Predicts Dust-Stirring Winds in Makkah and Madinah Regions


RIYADH: Dust-stirring winds are expected to impact parts of the Makkah and Madinah regions, while other areas in the Kingdom will experience generally stable weather conditions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology forecasts that winds over the Red Sea will vary in direction and speed, with northerly to northwesterly winds blowing at 15-30 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southerly winds at 15-35 km/h in the southern part. The sea conditions are predicted to be relatively calm, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to a meter and a half.

In the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly winds will blow at speeds of 10-25 km/h in the northern part, while the southern part will experience southeasterly to northeasterly winds at speeds of 10-30 km/h. Wave heights in the Arabian Gulf are expected to range from half a meter to a meter, with the sea remaining relatively calm.
