Senate Speaker holds virtual meeting with CPPCC chairman

Senate Speaker Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq held on Monday a virtual meeting with head of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Yang.

Abdel Razeq lauded deeply-rooted relations binding Egypt with China and the keenness of the two countries’ political leaderships on boosting these relations to materialize the aspirations of both peoples.

He greeted the Chinese people and government over the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese Communist Party and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Egyptian-Chinese diplomatic relations.

He lauded China’s success in containing the coronavirus outbreak, hoping it would be a good indicator to the world countries still fighting the pandemic.

China is Egypt’s strategic partner and the two countries share close viewpoints towards many political and economic issues, he added.

He hoped of further development of parliamentary relations between the two countries.

The Chinese official lauded the remarkable progress witnessed by the Egyptian economy, reiterating China’s keenness on pumping more investments into the Egyptian market and boosting Egypt’s 2020-2030 economic plan.

He referred to Egyptian-Chinese cooperation in manufacturing a coronavirus vaccine, stating that Egypt will start producing the vaccine as of July.

He invited Abdel Razeq to visit the Chinese parliament as soon as possible to boost parliamentary relations.

He greeted the Egyptian people, government and leadership on Eidul Fitr.
