Naples: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), demonstrated its advanced vision for artificial intelligence governance and the promotion of digital sovereignty at the MED Dialogues 2025 forum, held in Naples, Italy, from October 15 to 17 and attended by a select group of leaders, officials, and experts from around the world.
According to Saudi Press Agency, researcher and expert Dr. Faisal Al-Otaibi participated in the forum on behalf of SDAIA. He took part in a closed discussion focusing on the geopolitics of cloud computing, particularly concerning sovereignty and digital infrastructure. Additionally, Dr. Al-Otaibi engaged in an open dialogue to discuss AI developments in the Middle East and their implications for security and the economy.
This participation is part of SDAIA’s ongoing efforts to enhance international cooperation in the field of AI. It aims to showcase Saudi Arabia’s pioneering experience in building a national economy based on data and AI, in alignment with the objectives set forth by Saudi Vision 2030.
