Moscow: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail inaugurated a Saudi-Russian contracting forum in Moscow, organized by the Saudi Contractors Authority. The forum is part of the agenda of the Saudi delegation’s visit to Russia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in his opening remarks, Al-Hogail emphasized the Saudi leadership’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Russia in various fields, especially in the construction sector. He highlighted the significance of strategic partnerships between Saudi and Russian companies, in addition to the adoption of the latest technical solutions, and the transference of expertise. Such partnerships contribute to the development of the construction sector and achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the minister added.
Saudi Contractors Authority board chairman Mohammed Abdulaziz Alajlan said the forum constitutes a launching pad for practical and fruitful cooperation between major contracting companies in both countries. He emphasized the authority’s cooperation with the ministry to facilitate procedures and remove obstacles to future partnerships, keeping pace with the Kingdom’s rapid development.
Head of the All-Russian Center for National Construction Policy (VCNSP) Alexander Moor presided over the Russian side at the forum, praising its success.
The Saudi Contractors Authority and the VCNSP signed a cooperation agreement under the auspices of the minister of municipalities and housing confirming the depth of bilateral relations and the shared dedication to develop urban and construction work.
Moor commended the agreement as an important step toward strengthening economic relations, while opening up broad prospects for exchanging expertise and implementing joint projects in light of the rapid growth witnessed by the construction sector in the Kingdom.
