Lahij: A delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has conducted an inspection of the Health Institute in Lahij Governorate, assessing the progress of the rehabilitation and restoration efforts financed by KSrelief. The project aims to rejuvenate the institute’s infrastructure and enhance its educational facilities to better serve the healthcare sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the KSrelief team, accompanied by the director of the health office in Lahij and officials from the institute, examined various areas of the facility, including classrooms, administrative offices, and student accommodations. The renovation project encompasses the provision of appropriate office and medical furniture, as well as essential medical and educational equipment. The departments benefiting from these upgrades include dentistry, midwifery, nursing, and pharmacy. The overarching objective is to enable the institute to reclaim its pivotal role in training healthcare professionals and supplying qualified personnel to local hospitals.
This project is a component of Saudi Arabia’s broader initiative, facilitated by KSrelief, to bolster key sectors within Yemen, with a particular focus on healthcare and education.
