RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has formalized a partnership aimed at advancing water supply and sanitation efforts in Hudaydah, Yemen, through a significant agreement valued at $359,000. The initiative marks the ninth phase of ongoing efforts to address the urgent humanitarian needs in the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed by Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, the Assistant Supervisor General of KSrelief for Operations and Programs, at the organization’s headquarters in Riyadh. The collaboration with a civil society institution is set to enhance water supply and sanitation services, promoting hygiene and access to safe drinking water for the crisis-affected population.
The project will provide essential resources such as personal hygiene kits and toilet cleaning supplies. It also includes the installation of 20 mobile toilets, all aimed at supporting 131,662 individuals in the Hudaydah Governorate. The initiative underscores KSrelief’s commitment to delivering sustainable environmental solutions and improving living conditions in Yemen.
This agreement is a continuation of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian and relief efforts through KSrelief, focusing on the water and sanitation sector to mitigate disease and promote health in countries with pressing needs worldwide.
