King Salman Science Oasis Celebrates Saudi International Volunteer Day.

Riyadh: King Salman Science Oasis (KSSO) celebrated Saudi International Volunteer Day, annually observed on December 5, under this year’s theme “A Generous Society.”

According to Saudi Press Agency, in recognition of the vital role of volunteers, KSSO provided opportunities for over 1,000 volunteers to participate in its programs and initiatives throughout 2024. This was made possible through strategic partnerships with several entities including King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Prince Sultan University, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, General Administration of Education in Riyadh, IEN Educational Channels Network, the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, the General Authority for Awqaf, Microsoft Arabia, and the Charity Society for Orphan Care in Riyadh (Insan).

KSSO collaborates with relevant entities to promote a culture of volunteerism based on a well-structured and sustainable approach that encourages community engagement, organization, and empowerment, with t
he goal of reaching one million volunteers by the end of 2030.
