Riyadh: The Sixth International Conference on Learning Cities, organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Global Network of Learning Cities, concluded today. The final statement highlighted the pivotal role of individuals and communities in fostering sustainable change, stressing the urgent need to meet sustainable development goals through continuous education and informed decision-making to ensure a brighter future for upcoming generations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, participants at the conference emphasized the importance of sustainable urban development, noting the critical role cities play in addressing global challenges such as climate change and pollution. They called for the adoption of innovative and sustainable practices and the promotion of continuing education to empower individuals and communities in contributing to a better future.
The conference underscored the necessity of involving all societal segments in decision-making processes relat
