Darah Showcases Over 2,000 Manuscripts at Saudi Exhibition.


Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) is actively participating in the Saudi Manuscripts Exhibition, organized by the Libraries Commission from November 28 to December 7. This exhibition is an effort to introduce Saudi heritage and highlight the Kingdom’s initiatives to preserve, maintain, digitize, and make manuscripts accessible.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Darah will be displaying more than 2,000 manuscripts covering various fields and will host a range of accompanying events. The objective is to showcase the Kingdom’s commitment to preserving its cultural and historical heritage, while also promoting awareness about the significance of manuscripts in documenting national history.

Darah’s manuscript collection includes rare examples such as copies of the Qur’an, along with manuscripts in theology, jurisprudence, interpretation, and those related to the Arabic language and history. These works reflect the cultural diversity and intellectual richness of the Kingdom, d
emonstrating its historical and scholarly legacy.
